Hubert Hurkacz v Albert Ramos Vinolas Head to Head
This will be their second meeting on the ATP Tour. They last met in the 2022 Monte Carlo Masters, where Hurkacz won in straight sets.

World No. 10 Hubert Hurkacz started his campaign in the Canadian Open 2022 with a bye into round two.
His opening match was against Emil Ruusuvuori of Finland – which lasted for a little under two and a half hours. The 25-year-old took the match 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-2 by carving 16 aces, 35 winners and winning 76% of the first-service points. However, he did commit 31 unforced errors – something that may not be forgiven in the subsequent matches.
Hurkacz has enjoyed a decent season so far with a tally of 29-13 and a singles title from the Halle Open. He also won the Miami Open and Stuttgart Open doubles.
Hubert also had a good run on hard courts as she reached the semifinal in Miami, Dubai, and ATP Cup. Having beaten a few top players like Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, and Felix-Auger Aliassime over the course of the season, he will certainly be confident of a deep run in Montreal.

Vinolas Upsets Schwartzman
Albert Ramos-Vinolas, age 34, has just posted his best results in the Canadian Masters by reaching round three.
His success came on the back of wins over well-known players like David Goffin and Diego Schwartzman – both in straight sets.
Now ranked #43, the Spaniard has improved his tally to 21-18. A good chunk of those wins came in his last couple of tournaments in Gstaad and Kitzbuhel where he was among the final four. Earlier in the year, he won the Cordoba Open and later reached the final stages in Santiago.
It is worth noting that all these tournaments took place on clay courts – something that is Vinolas’s speciality. His form on the hard surface isn’t this impressive with his best result coming only this week.
Hurkacz v Vinolas Prediction and Tip
Hurkacz’s hard-court form makes him the favourite here. However, Vinolas has beaten a few big names and he will be confident of doing the same to his Polish counterpart.
Expect a good game of tennis where Hubert should come out on the top.
