Dan Evans v Filip Krajinovic Head to Head

The pair have played each other twice before. Krajinovic won on the indoor hard courts of Stockholm in 2019, but Evans won their rematch in Canada last week. Both matches went to three sets.

Queen’s Club Finalist Krajinovic

Krajinovic reached his fifth senior final on grass at the Queen’s Club Championship in June, although he maintained his unhappy record of finishing runner-up each time as he lost to Matteo Berrettini.

He has good memories of this tournament from two years ago (when it was played in New York), reaching the quarter-final stage, but failed to progress beyond the opening round stage last year.

After that run in London, he reached the second round of Wimbledon, and also in Hamburg.

However, his first match back on hard courts ended in defeat at the hands of Evans last week.

Evans Reaches Canadian Open Semi-Finals

Evans, by the time that he faces Krajinovic, will have played Pablo Carreno-Busta of Spain in the last four of the Canadian Open with a chance to make his first Masters final.

That is a welcome return to form for the British number two, who, like Krajinovic reached a grass court final, in his case winning the Challenger event in Nottingham.

It was, therefore, a disappointment to him when he was knocked out of his home Grand Slam of Wimbledon at the first attempt by the Australian Jason Kubler.

In his first tournament back on American hard courts he gave a hint of what was to come by reaching the quarter finals in Washington, before losing to the surprise man of that event, Yoshihito Nishioka of Japan.

Krajinovic v Evans Prediction and Tip

Much may depend on Evans’ ability to recover from his exertions in Montreal. If he is not too physically and mentally drained, he will be confident of repeating his victory over the Serb from a week ago.

Tip: Evans to win: 5/7 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
