Coco Gauff v Marie Bouzkova Head to Head

Newly crowned doubles No. 1 Coco Gauff will be one of the players to watch in the Cincinnati Open.
The 18-year-old, who picked up her first two WTA 1000 titles in Dubai and the Canadian Opens and reached her second major final in doubles at the French Open, has a 30-15 singles record in the main draws in 2022.
In the singles, Gauff made it to her maiden Grand Slam final at the French Open. She was a semifinalist in Berlin and Adelaide-2 and is coming off back-to-back quarterfinal appearances in San Jose and Toronto.
Last week at the Canadian Open, she knocked out Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and sixth seed Aryna Sabalenka but fell to Simona Halep.
The World No. 12 has made just two previous appearances in Cincinnati, with her best being a second round finish last year. Can she go deep this year?

Bouzkova Knocks Out Vekic to Qualify
Facing Gauff will be Czech qualifier Marie Bouzkova, who qualified for her second main draw in Cincinnati with a straight sets win over Donna Vekic on Sunday.
Bouzkova, who defeated Serbia’s Aleksandra Krunić 6-1, 6-2 in the first qualifier, needed an hour and 36 minutes to beat the Croatian 6-1, 6-4.
The world No. 46 has produced brilliant results throughout the year and is coming off a highly successful July, reaching her first Grand Slam quarterfinal in Wimbledon and winning her maiden WTA title in Prague by beating Anastasia Potapova in the final.
Bouzkova has not been able to have the same impact in the North American hard court swing yet. She qualified for Toronto as well but fell in three sets to Elena Rybakina.
The 24-year-old had also reached the final in Guadalajara and was a quarterfinalist in Monterrey this year. She is 26-7 on hard courts, across levels, in 2022 and could be a difficy=ult player to deal with in the opening round.
Gauff v Bouzkova Prediction and Tip
While Gauff’s the favourite here, it won’t be an easy start for the 11th seed. Bouzkova will give a tough fight but the American should edge past the Czech.
