It was in 2022 that the first ever edition of the tournament was played on the WTA circuit. The prize money associated with it in 2022 was a shade over $250k.

2023 WTA Granby Schedule & Dates
The 2023 edition of Granby Open, played for the second time at the highest level of women’s tennis, will start from Monday, August 21 with the qualifiers to be played a couple of days before that.
The final of this competition will be held on Saturday, August 26 instead of Sunday because of the start of the US Open the following Monday.

What Happened at the 2022 WTA Granby?
Before 2022, the WTA Granby was played as an ITF event on the women’s circuit. The 2022 edition was first ever of the competition to be played under the WTA 250 series banner and the top seeded Daria Kasatkina won the title.
Kasatkina defeated Australia’s Daria Saville in the final, winning in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 to lift the trophy. Earlier, the Russian was taken to a third set by Greet Minnen in the first round but encountered no such difficulties in the rest of the tournament.
In the second round, Kasatkina crushed Magdalena Frech, before overcoming Nuria Parrizas Diaz and Diane Parry to reach the final.
The last time it was held was in 2019 where Australia’s Lizette Cabrera overcame Leylah Fernandez of Canada in the final, 6–1, 6–4, to win the title.
