Carlos Alcaraz v Cameron Norrie Head to Head
Alcaraz has won all three of their previous meetings. One of them was at the U.S. Open last year, while the other two wins came this year.
Alcaraz beat Norrie in the quarterfinals in Indian Wells and in the Round of 16 in Rome this season.

Alcaraz Knocks Out Cilic to Reach First QF in Cincy
World No. 4 Carlos Alcaraz made it to a fourth ATP Masters 1000 quarterfinal of the season with a straight sets win over Marin Cilic on Thursday.
The 19-year-old had triumphed in Miami and Madrid and reached the semifinals in Indian Wells the last three times he made it to the quarterfinal of a Masters 1000 tournament.
Alcaraz, who can climb to No. 2 in the rankings if he goes on to win the tournament, was brilliant against Cilic. He won 83% points on his first serve, saved 2 of 3 break points and converted half of the 6 breaking chances he held to score a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 victory in an hour and 40 minutes.
The win improved the Spaniard’s season record to 44-8. He had begun his Cincinnati campaign with a 6-3, 6-2 drubbing of Mackenzie McDonald.
He is now the youngest to reach quarterfinals in Cincinnati since Andy Murray achieved the feat in 2006.
Alcaraz, who also won titles in Rio and Barcelona this year, and finished runner-up in Hamburg and Umag, will be looking to reach an eighth semifinal of the season.

Norrie Ends Shelton’s Stunning Run
Cameron Norrie ended 19-year-old Ben Shelton’s run in the tournament with a straight sets win on Thursday.
The Briton needed just 59 minutes to beat the American 6-0, 6-2. Shelton had caught the eye with wins over Lorenzo Sonego and Casper Ruud in the first two rounds respectively, but he couldn’t keep the magic going against the World No. 11, who dominated from start to finish.
Norrie made 20 fewer unforced errors than Shelton’s 26. He also saved the only break point that he faced in the match and converted 5 of 10 that he held.
The win was the British left-hander’s 4oth win of the season. It’s been another successful season for the 26-year-old, who won titles in Delray Beach and Lyon and finished runner-up in Acapulco and Los Cabos.
It’s only the third time that Norrie has reached the quarterfinals of an ATP 1000 event and the first time that he has done outside Indian Wells, where he was a champion in 2021 and fell in the last eight this year.
Norrie had begun his campaign with a tough three-set win over Holger Rune and then came back from a set down to beat Andy Murray in round 2. He had a very easy third round outing against Shelton. Can he continue his solid run with a quarterfinal upset?
Alcaraz v Norrie Prediction and Tip
Both have played great tennis this season, but given how Alcaraz has dominated the head-to-head rivalry, he will hold the edge in this contest. Expect the Spaniard to reach another Masters semifinal with a win on Friday.
