Naomi Osaka v Daria Saville Head to Head

Naomi Osaka is set to compete in her home tournament of the 2022 WTA Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo as the World No. 48, with a tally of 13-9.

Osaka last featured in the US Open swing but lost rather early; she managed just one win across four tournaments. In Toronto, Cincinnati, and New York, she fell respectively to Kaia Kanepi, Shuai Zhang, and Danielle Collins in the opener.

Saville Enjoying her Comeback
After spending the last couple of seasons battling with injuries, Daria Saville has finally turned it all around and staged a remarkable resurgence.
The 28-year-old started the year outside the top 400. She is now ranked World No. 50, armed with a fair bit of momentum from her 25 wins and 19 losses.
Her highlights include reaching the fourth round in Indian Wells (as a qualifier) and the quarterfinal in Miami; in the two events, she dismissed the likes of Ons Jabeur, Zhang, Elise Mertens, and Katerina Siniakova.
Saville also enjoyed a good run in the US Open swing, reaching the semis in the Citi Open and the final in Granby. It was Daria’s first singles final in five years.
That said, she went down to Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the opener at the Flushing Meadows in three sets.
Osaka v Saville Prediction and Tip
Backing Osaka here is the way to go, given her home advantage. However, Saville makes for an appealing underdog bet and value bettors may want to consider that.
