J.J. Wolf v Emil Ruusuvuori Head to Head
They played once and Emil won that match in two sets. It happened a few weeks ago in Cincinnati.

Wolf Venturing Away From States
J.J. Wolf generally plays most of his tennis within the borders of his native USA. The American simply wasn’t ranked high enough to travel around the world and take part in Challengers. He waited for those evens on US soil and patiently collected points there.
It’s a tactic that worked as he’s now ranked high enough to be able to play ATP events outside of the US and Tel Aviv will see him try some indoor tennis. He’s a very energetic player who has a powerful serve and plays really attacking tennis.
It’s similar to most US players but consistency is something he is still working on. It’s either quite poor or quite mesmerizing and he’ll be a problem for any players if he brings his best serve and best forehand. 34-24 is the score this year but he’s only 3-5 indoors.

Ruusuvuori Hopeful of Deep Run
Emil Ruusuvuori is quite accustomed to playing indoors as he grew up playing in those conditions in Finland. The Finnish player certainly has had success indoors as he holds a 73-28 record all-time indoors. He’s 1-1 this year as his Metz run was cut short by Alexander Bublik last week but it was a close match that he could have won.
Overall it’s a very good year for him with a 36-28 record overall and prior to Metz he played two matches indoors in the Davis Cup and won both. He’s clearly in a good rhythm and he’ll certainly embrace this chance against Wolf. They played recently in Cincinnati and it was a comfortable win for Ruusuvuori.
That should give him plenty of confidence heading into this one and I certainly expect him to win. He’s favoured to do so but his serve will need to be with him. It’s his best shot and when he doesn’t have it, his game becomes vulnerable.
Wolf v Ruusuvuori Prediction and Tip
So they played recently in Cincinnati and while the conditions were quite different there than they were here it’s going to be another one where Emil will be favoured.
I do think he will win and I think he will do so in two sets.
Tip: Ruusuvuori to win in straight sets: 6/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
