Hamad Medjedovic is an up-and-coming player from Serbia that is backed by Novak Djokovic and the youngster explained many times that his career would not be there without the former world number one. He received a wild card entry into this one and he’ll try to take advantage of it.
It’s been a good year for him so far with a 42-17 record but the vast majority of his matches came on clay which is his best surface. He’s fairly solid on hard courts as well but he needs some more time to get really good at it. The tools are there as he has pretty strong groundstrokes and a decent return.
The serve could be better and obviously, he needs to fully grow into his body but for now, he’s looking solid. This is a very good opportunity for him to improve his ranking as he’s still ranked outside of the top 200 at this time. A win would be a good start.

Broady Solid in Qualifiers
Liam Broady played two solid matches to qualify for the main draw of this event and it’s been two very strong victories as he didn’t drop a set. The British player plays his best tennis on hard courts and he’s pretty solid indoors as well.
A lefty with a decent serve, Broady can be really good on his day but the problem is that he rarely finds his best tennis. It’s been a decent year with a 32-23 record for him but it’s been a mix of good and both lately. That’s what it’s been all year long.
Now he played two great matches but whether he can follow it up with a 3rd one remains the question. Medjedovic is a fair challenge for him but also one that can beat him if he doesn’t play as well as he can. Going to be interesting as they never played before.
Medjedovic v Broady Prediction and Tip
This is a match that should go to three sets and I expect it to do so. I don’t see either winning in two sets even though I somehow lean more towards Broady due to his experience.
