The Jasmin Open was introduced in 2022 after many of the WTA tournaments to be held in China were cancelled following the pandemic and other issues.
With Ons Jabeur also rising to the top-5 of the WTA Rankings – and later becoming a two-time Grand Slam finalist – it made sense to have a tournament organised in Tunisia.
The 2022 Jasmin Open will be a part of the WTA 250 series and played on outdoor hard court surface. It will be hosted at Skanes Family Hotel Monastir.
2022 WTA Monastir Schedule & Dates
The 2022 edition of Monastir Open will start from Monday, October 3 with the qualifiers to be played a couple of days before its first round matches. The final will be held on Sunday, October 9.

Tunisia’s very own Ons Jabeur will take part in the Monastir Open in 2022 and will be the top seed at this competition. Joining her will be the rising Russian star Veronika Kudermetova, with Martina Trevisan and Petra Martic also participating in the tournament.
