Bianca Andreescu v Jil Teichmann Head to Head

Andreescu on a Resurgent Path
22-year-old Canadian Bianca Andreescu spent the 2022 season attempting to rebuild her form and find some momentum.
She started the season only in Stuttgart due to her injury woes; at that point, she was ranked outside the top 100. What followed next was a series of mixed results – including a quarterfinal showing in the Italian Open.
Later, after a couple of early losses in Berlin and Paris, Andreescu reached the final in Bad Homburg, where she fell to Caroline Garcia. Nonetheless, that runner-up feat was a good accomplishment – considering her form issues.
Since then, Bianca has not quite managed more than two wins in a tournament, but the fact remains that she has now climbed up to the No. 57 spot. Her last stint was in San Diego, where she fell to Coco Gauff in round two.

Teichmann, Coming off Mixed Results
Jil Teichmann, ranked World No. 38, hasn’t been in the best of form of late. Just in July, she peaked at the #21 spot in the singles ranking but has since gone downhill.
Since reaching the fourth round in the French Open, there have been only two tournaments where Teichmann has bagged main-draw wins. The first was the Rogers Cup, where she reached round three, and the other was Tallinn Open, where she lost to the then #138 Ysaline Bonaventure in round two.
Jil last featured in the San Diego Open, where she cleared the qualifiers but lost to Sloane Stephens in the opener. Similarly, in Ostrava, she was beaten by Tereza Martincova.
But credit where it is due, she did well in the first half of the season, notably by reaching the concluding rounds in Dubai, Madrid, and Rome. Teichmann’s record stands at 24-22.
Andreescu v Teichmann Prediction and Tip
This match can go either way as neither of them is in the best of form. However, backing Andreescu seems like the better choice owing to her superior pedigree and play.
