Iga Swiatek v Aryna Sabalenka Head to Head
Swiatek leads Sabalenka 4-1; all those four victories for the Pole came in 2022 itself. They last met in the US Open semis where Iga won in three sets.

Swiatek Tops her Group
Top seed Iga Swiatek topped the Group Tracy Austin after moving past the likes of Caroline Garcia, Coco Gauff, and Daria Kasatkina in straight sets.
Her game-win percentage was absolutely remarkable; the highest among all the participants, with 36-17 (73% win rate).
It is not entirely surprising to see this kind of display from the 21-year-old, who has had a pretty astonishing season. If anything, it is only natural for her to cap the year with a similar showing in the WTA Finals as well.
With these wins, Swiatek is now 67-8 in 2022 – stretched across two Grand Slam titles, four WTA 1000 trophies, and two other titles from lower circuits. She has also racked up $9.4 million in prize money in the process.
Having beaten plenty of big names through her journey, Sabalenka should not prove to be too big of a hurdle at this stage.

Sabalenka Makes the Cut
Aryna Sabalenka, current World No. 7, made it to the semis after dismissing Ons Jabeur 3-6, 7-6(5), 7-5, in a gruelling three-setter. It was a must-win match for the Belarusian, who built on her preceding-round victory against Jessica Pegula in straight sets.
She finished second in the Group Nancy Richey with a set record of 4-3 and a game record of 36-37.
It also marks a good turnaround compared to her overall season, which may seem slightly underwhelming – at least by her standards. With only two finals to her name – Stuttgart and Rosmalen Open – Aryna made the cut for the WTA Finals only after reaching consecutive semifinals in Cincinnati and New York.
In addition, Sabalenka also endured several shock defeats throughout the year at the hands of Amanda Anisimova, Jasmine Paolini, Kaia Kanepi, Rebecca Peterson, Donna Vekic, and Liudmila Samsonova.
That said, at this point, past pedigree and form do not matter much – which, albeit – is quite sound with numerous WTA 1000 titles, three Grand Slam semifinals, and stellar doubles showing.
Swiatek v Sabalenka Prediction and Tip
This match is Swiatek’s to lose; she has the finesse, composure, and momentum needed to keep her calm (and win) at this level. Add to this mix the 4-0 record she has over Sabalenka in 2022, the choice becomes more obvious.
Tip: Swiatek to Win, Over 20.5 Games: 11/7 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
