Roberto Bautista Agut had an interesting first week as he scored a huge win over Andrey Rublev but then lost that momentum immediately in the second Ruud. Bautista was down a set and a break against Rublev but rallied to win the match.
He didn’t follow that up with a brilliant performance as he was beaten by Sebastian Korda in the very next match. Still, it’s a solid start for the Spaniard who is slowly losing some of his best tennis but can still produce a really high level.
The second week in Adelaide gave him a really good draw so he should be set to advance past the second round. Robin Haase is not a player that gave him many problems in the past and I don’t expect him to suddenly have some in this match.

Good Start for Haase
Robin Haase is having a really good start to the year when you break things down. He opened by playing the qualifiers in Adelaide and the first match was a win over Marton Fucsovics.
A very good win for him but it didn’t translate well into the second round as he lost that match.
In the second week, Haase was able to enter the main draw of the event and he won the first round match immediately by beating a tired Benjamin Bonzi who just arrived to the country after playing in the final in Pune. It was not an easy win and he had to play three sets but it continued a good start for him.
Haase struggled against Bautista in the past and I expect that to happen in this match as well.
He’ll need a very good level to win the match and I do think he can make it interesting but I don’t think he can actually win the match. It would be a major upset if he did.

Bautista dominated this matchup in the past and I expect him to add another win. He’s played better and he’s the better player.
