Roberto Bautista Agut v Alejandro Davidovich Fokina Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these players and both have won one apiece.
Fokina won their Rotterdam Open match in 2021 in straight sets while Bautista Agut retaliated with a victory in Doha last year.

Fokina did not have to spend too much time getting past John Millman in his second round encounter having also started off as a 2/5 favourite there.
The Spaniard, who was coming off a rewarding win over Brandon Nakashima in his opener, clinched his quarterfinal spot with a 6-3, 6-3 win against his Aussie opponent.
In a match lasting a mere hour and 15 minutes, Fokina won 73% of his points in total and broke his opponent four times during the match to claim the win. He broke him twice in the first set and while he fell a break behind early in the second, Fokina came back to dish out successive breaks to go 4-1 up.
From there on it was a matter of time before he finished off the encounter.
This will be Fokina’s first appearance in an ATP quarterfinal since making it there in Hamburg in July last year. He did enter the fourth round at the US Open though and will hope to push on to the later stages of this one here.

Bautista Agut Sneaks Past Haase
Robin Haase has fallen off the charts having started off as a 257th-ranked player in this tournament. Which is also why Bautista-Agut was 1/10 to win this second round match against Haase.
And while Bautista Agut won, it turned out to be a lot closer than those odds suggested.
He came through in nearly two hours, winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 with the Spaniard getting himself one extra break of serve in the encounter. It came in the sixth game of the deciding set where Bautista Agut broke Haase to sneak past the Dutchman.
Haase had a couple of changes to break right back but Bautista Agut saved both of them and then served it out in his next game to carve out the win.
This quarterfinal appearance for Bautista Agut follows a second round loss at the Adelaide International last week.
