Félix Auger-Aliassime v Vasek Pospisil Head to Head
There have been four previous meetings between these two players and Auger-Aliassime has won three of them. Interestingly, all of them came in the first round of competitions.
Their last meeting came at the Vienna Open in 2020 which Pospisil won 7-5, 7-5.

After having featured in three exhibition matches at the World Tennis League, Auger-Aliassime kick-started his 2023 campaign in Adelaide in the first week of the competition.
And while he had defeated Nick Kyrgios, Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev in those three practice matches first up, his start to the season wasn’t as good. The Canadian number one fell in the very first round to Aussie Alexei Popyrin.
Auger-Aliassime, however, will relish the challenge of playing in a Grand Slam event following his performance in 2022.
After having reached more than half a dozen ATP finals and not won a single one of them, Auger-Aliassime went on a title-winning rampage last season. He won four of them, all of which came on indoor hardcourt surfaces.
He had also reached the quarterfinal of the previous year’s Australian Open, his best performance at this tournament ever. With the momentum and form he has under his belt, that Adelaide defeat notwithstanding, Auger-Aliassime should start things off confidently here.

Pospisil Last Won a Main Draw Match in September
He was so underwhelming with his form on court in 2021 that Pospisil ended the season ranked 133rd in the world. A couple of months into 2022, he had hit a further low of 155th on the ATP charts before the Canadian slowly clawed his way back.
Sure, his return to form came only on the Challenger circuit but two titles at that level did bring some respite to the Pospisil camp.
He participated in the Tel Aviv Open where Pospisil went on to win a couple of rounds before returning to the Challenger circuit to end the season with a fine couple of performances.
The former world number 25 broke back into the top 100 as a result and features in the Australian Open as a direct entrant instead of having to go through the qualifiers.
Can he test his countryman here though, having played at both the Adelaide International events this season but failed to get out of the qualifiers?
