This will be the first time that the 82nd-ranked Fruhvirtova and world number 86 Vondrousova will be facing off in a competitive match.

Vondrousova Sends Second Seed Out
Vondrousova continued with her good form but this time around she overcame 11/10 odds to send the second seeded Ons Jabeur packing from the tournament.
Jabeur, who was one of the pre-tournament favourites looked to have turned things around after losing the first set but Vondrousova broke her four times in the deciding set to win 6-1, 5-7, 6-1 in an hour and 43 minutes.
It was a match in which holding one’s serve turned out to be a difficult proposition for both players but Vondrousova managed it a lot better than her opponent.
She faced no break-points in the first set and traded four breaks of serves in the second set before losing it 7-5. Just when one thought, however, that Jabeur would carry that momentum into the second, the Czech player turned up a performance to remember as she lost just nine points in the first five games of the set.
Can Vondrousova now usurp a budding youngster who has turned the heads of tennis aficionados from world over?

Fruhvirtova Untroubled by Birrell in Round Two
For the second round in running, Fruhvirtova had been drawn to play an Aussie wildcard and for the second time she found no major obstacles in getting past her opponent.
Fruhvirtova routed Kimberly Birrell 6-3, 6-2 in a match lasting an hour and 26 minutes, with the Czech player out-serving her Aussie opponent easily. She won 79% of the first serve points which compared way more favourably to the 58% that Birrell won and committed just 20 unforced errors to her opponent’s 33.
And this win followed a 6-0, 6-4 rout of Jaimee Fourlis in the first round for the 17-year-old who won her first ever WTA title last season in Chennai.
Her first real test of the season comes here against Vondrousova because while this opponent is ranked lower than her at the moment, she has a Grand Slam final under her belt.
Can Fruhvirtova crunch past her fellow countrywoman?
