Jack Sock v Francisco Cerundulo Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 30 year old American, and the Argentine, who is six years younger.

Sock is a former semi-finalist at Indian Wells, but, because of his ranking, was reliant on a wild card this year to enter the main draw.
But, despite starting the underdog against the French world number 65, Gregoire Barrere, the American was able to roll back the years with a confident first round performance.
Although he came under pressure in his first service game, and had to save two break points, it was Sock who achieved the first break of the match next game. From there he was able to consolidate his advantage, although Barrere did at least make him work for the set, saving five set points, before Sock put away the sixth.
However, a break in the first game of the second set put the American in complete control of proceedings. One more break gave him the chance to serve for the match, which he did without any great difficulty.

Indian Wells Debut for Cerundulo
Cerundulo has never appeared in the main draw of Indian Wells before – he was beaten in the first round of last qualifying last year,
However, although he is primarily known as a clay court player, it should have no fears for him, because his response to that disappointment in California was to go on a surprise run in Miami to the semi-finals.
So far, the Argentine does not appear to be in the sort of form where he could replicate that in another Masters’ event, although he could take heart from reaching the third round of the Australian Open.
He might, though, have expected mote of himself during the South American clay court swing, with a quarter-final appearance on home soil in Buenos Aires the best he could manage.
In the last tournament he played in Santiago, he was the number two seed, but lost his opening match to compatriot Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
He was given a first round bye.
Sock v Cerundulo Prediction and Tip
Although Sock has much greater experience of playing in Masters’ events and has a good record in this tournament, he is not the player that he was in his pomp.
Cerundulo showed in Miami last year what he is capable of when he gets on a run, and whether Sock has it in him to raise his game once more enough to stop him remains to be seen.
