JJ Wolf v Alexander Bublik Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players and Wolf has won both. More recently they faced off at the 2022 Florence Open quarterfinals.

It’s been a tale of two halves for Wolf this year.
While he started off rather well with a fourth round appearance at the Australian Open and a semifinal showing in Dallas, things have gone slightly awry since.
John Isner got the better of Wolf at the Dallas Open, coming back from a set down there. He then fell in the second round of the Delray Beach Open, losing in straight sets to Adrian Mannarino despite being a 3/5 favourite in that encounter.
Two more defeats have followed since then. Starting out at 2/5 odds against Taro Daniel, Wolf lost that opener in Acapulco before Marton Fucsovics got the better of him in Indian Wells.
That Fucsovics defeat would have been particularly disheartening given his opponent himself hadn’t had the best of seasons.
Wolf will hope he can now turn his fortunes around against a player who is 7/5 winning odds coming into this one.

Bublik Turning Things Around?
The kind of start that Bublik made to the season was so underwhelming it had led him to break a few racquets in utter disgust. Who can blame him as Bublik lost eight matches in a row to kick-start 2023!
Since then, however, Bublik looks to have turned things around a little.
He finished as a semifinalist at the Marseille Open which included a win over Grigor Dimitrov, and more recently was a quarterfinalist at the Phoenix Challenger.
Unfortunately for Bublik, that had been preceded by an opening defeat at the Indian Wells Open where again he was a shock loser. Tung-li Wu has never been ranked better than 160th in the world and he was a rank 8/3 outsider in that encounter.
And yet, Bublik fell to another defeat in that one.
Things won’t be easy against Wolf.
