Jannik Sinner v Grigor Dimitrov Head to Head
They played once so far and Dimitrov won that match on the clay of Rome in 2020. It was a 3-set victory.

Jannik Sinner took on Laslo Djere in the second round of the Miami Masters and he proved better by taking the match in two sets. The Italian played really well in Miami last year and even the year before. In fact, he was a finalist here but lost to Hurkacz in that final.
The conditions simply work in his favour because he can the ball well as anybody and it’s the same reason why Carlos Alcaraz won it last year. The Spaniard stopped Sinner last week in Indian Wells and it’s very likely they meet here again.
Sinner is playing in really solid form right now and it’s unlikely he’ll stumble here even against a tricky opponent like Dimitrov. He’s been simply playing very consistent tennis since the start of the year and I don’t see this stopping.
17 wins and 4 losses with number 18 looking likely here. There are ways for Dimitrov to beat Sinner but most of that will depend on the Italian.

Dimitrov Escapes Against Struff
Grigor Dimitrov escaped against Jan-Lennard Struff in quite lucky fashion because the German had firm control on that match fur much of it. Still, we gotta give credit to Dimitrov for pulling out the win on a court which hasn’t generally been that good for him in the past.
Most of his previous participations ended rather quickly and I don’t see this one going any different. He’s facing a player who loves to play here far more than he does and he’s got the results to back it all up.
Dimitrov is only 9-5 on the year and it’s unlikely he’ll outhit Sinner in this spot. He’s beaten him the only time they played against each other but that was on clay and that’s actually a surface where he matches up a bit better with him than hard courts.
He might keep it close for one set but I see Sinner overpowering him rather comfortably the longer the match goes on. He’ll have to put a lot of pressure on Sinner and force him to overhit quite a bit but that seems unlikely.
Sinner v Dimitrov Prediction and Tip
Once again I don’t see Dimitrov being able to trouble Sinner too much. For this is a really comfortable win for Sinner in two sets.
