Jaume Munar v Matteo Arnaldi Head to Head
They have faced off once before on the Challenger tour in 2022 and Munar had won that match on clay.

Overall, it’s not been a great season for Munar who has lost 11 of the 19 matches he’s played but he has found some respite on clay.
After suffering two defeats from three matches in Buenos Aires and Rio, Munar finally found some success in Santiago where he made the semifinal. Wins over Alejandro Tabilo and Lorenzo Musetti punctuated that effort.
He then opted to feature in a Challenger tournament on clay in Girona where he entered the last eight before winning his openers at Marrakesh and Monte-Carlo.
Munar could have done a lot better at the former but suffered a shock loss at the hands of Andrea Vavassori in the second round in a match that went on for three sets and two tie-breakers.
He will now be a favourite to make it three opening wins in a row.

Arnaldi on a Seven-Match Winning Streak
He has never been a part of the top 100 of the ATP Rankings but Arnaldi is on the verge of doing just that. The Italian 22-year-old is on a seven-match run which has seen him win the title at the Murcia Challenger and follow it up with a couple of qualifying victories in this tournament.
Arnaldi was stretched to three sets in only of these seven matches, going into each of these encounters as a favourite.
What it shows is how highly Arnaldi is rated by a lot of the critics and bookmakers as the three-time Challenger winner enters the main draw of this tournament.
It’s that step-up that is proving to be a bit of a concern for Arnaldi, with the 105th-ranked player having five previous matches at such a stage and lost all five. Can he turn things around here?
