Pedro Cachin v Cristian Garin Head to Head
Cachin leads Garin 1-0 in their head-to-head, winning a first-round match at the Santiago Challenger back in 2014.

Cachin Makes Second Week in Madrid
Pedro Cachin’s best result at Masters 1000 level certainly came at last week’s Mutua Madrid Open.
The 28-year-old exceeded expectations by reaching the second week, with victories over his country’s No. 1 Francisco Cerundolo and top 20 player Frances Tiafoe.
His campaign ended in the round of 16 in a thrilling battle against eventual finalist Jan-Lennard Struff.
Cachin should be pleased with his general level on clay and his recent patch of good form. He’s never played a match at the Rome Masters before, so this will be unfamiliar territory for him.
But he has won 12 matches on clay in 2023, which is stupendous effort at this time of the year, just before Roland Garros. Can he upstage fellow South American Cristian Garin?

Garin Steadily Rising
Cristian Garin clearly lost his way at some point last season, but he is slowly and steadily on his way back to the top of the game.
It was in North America where Garin marked his return to form, re-entering the top 100, advancing into the round of 16 of Indian Wells as a qualifier, and scoring a top-10 win over Casper Ruud.
A week later, Garin was back at it again in Miami, qualifying for the event and making the third round where he lost to Tsitsipas in three sets.
His levels have only got better with each passing week as is his confidence and baseline skills which deserted him in most of last season.
The Chilean No. 2 has put together a solid campaign in 2023, 21-11 across all levels, reaching the quarterfinals in two of his last three tournaments on clay. Garin was a quarterfinalist in Rome last season, so let’s see if he can hit those heights again.
Cachin v Garin Prediction and Tip

Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 10/11
- Moderate Risk Tip: Three sets in the match: 11/7
