Gregoire Barrere v Corentin Moutet Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the two Frenchmen.

Barrere Beat Khachanov in Rome
Barrere has already won on French soil this year, picking up the Challenger title in Quimper in January, although that was on a hard court.
Clay has proved to be a less successful surface for him over the years, as his record at the French Open demonstrates – two second round appearances, including last year, are the best he has managed at his home Grand Slam.
He had a mixed start to his clay court season – he failed to qualify in Monte Carlo, and was beaten in the second round in Banja Luka and Madrid.
He, though, can take some heart from what he did in Rome, where he beat first Brandon Nakashima, and then Karen Khachanov, the world number 11, until the Argentine Francisco Cerundulo ended his involvement in Italy.

Moutet the Bad Boy of French Tennis
Moutet has acquired the reputation of being the bad boy of French tennis. He was ejected from the Adelaide International last year for swearing, and later that same year, expelled from the French Federation of Tennis for repeated bad behaviour.
However, when he chooses to concentrate on his tennis, he is a fine player, as his six Challenger titles, three of them on clay, testifies.
He has only returned to the tour recently, not having played for more than three months after being beaten in the second round of the Australian Open.
First round defeats in Madrid and Rome were hardly encouraging, but he will have taken some belief from his performance in the Bordeaux Challenger tournament, where he reached the last eight.
Barrere v Moutet Prediction and Tip
Whilst relatively closely separated in terms of rankings, Barrere has had far more match practice on clay than Moutet, which suggests that he should be better prepared for this tournament, especially if he can carry his Rome form into it.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Barrere to win: 7/9
- Moderate Risk Tip: Under 22.5 games in the match: 4/5
