Fabio Fognini v Jason Kubler Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before.
This will be the first match between the 36 year old Italian, and the Australian, six years younger.

Fognini Knocks Out Tenth Seed
Fognini reached the quarter-final in Paris back in 2011, which remains his best performance in a Grand Slam.
But the 36 year old rolled back the years with a dominant display to knock out Felix Augur Aliassime of Canada.
The Italian made a strong start, breaking Augur Aliassime twice in the first set, and, although the Canadian recovered one of them, he could not close down the deficit.
The pair twice swapped breaks in the second set, but, when the tenth seed dropped his serve again, Fognini took full advantage by serving out to take the second set.
The third set was almost a replica of the first, with Augur-Aliassime going two breaks down, before getting one of them back.
But there was no coming back for the Canadian, as Fognini cruised into the second round.

Kubler Taken to Five Sets by Qualifier
Kubler reached the second round in Paris last year, and he has at least emulated that feat, although he really was made to work hard for his passage by the Argentine qualifier, Facundo Diaz Acosta, the world number 137.
Indeed, it was the Argentine who made the much better start, claiming the first set for the loss of just one game.
Kubler, though, took control of the second set with two breaks, and, although Diaz Acosta got one of them back, it was not enough.
After the pair swapped breaks early in the third set, the Australian seemed to have gained control of the match when another break enabled him to move a set ahead.
Diaz Acosta, though, showed he was not to be shaken off that easily, when he broke early in the fourth set, and consolidated that to again level the match.
Kubler was forced to go and win the match again which he did with two breaks of serve in the fifth set.
Although it was comfortable in the end, the Australian had been made to really dig deeper than he might have wanted or expected.
Fognini v Kubler Prediction and Tip
Although Kubler is the higher ranked player, he is not known as a clay court specialist, whereas it has always been Fognini’s preferred surface. That makes him the favourite to win this match and reach the third round.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Fognini to win: 4/7
- Moderate Risk Tip: Under 38.5 games in the match: 5/6
