In her most recent appearance at the French Open, Minnen narrowly missed out on qualifying for the main draw, losing in the final qualifying round to Dayana Yastremska in a closely contested three-set match. However, she did reach the quarterfinals in the doubles event alongside Anna Bondar.

World No. 71 Aliaksandra Sasnovich beat Lucrezia Stefanini 6-0, 6-3 in 74 minutes to reach round two in the 2023 Libema Open.
It was a much-needed win for the Belarussian, who has now won 9 matches this season while losing 13. The 29-year-old has spent the entirety of the year without consecutive wins in any tournament. In Madrid, Rome, and Paris 125, she made it as far as round two.
Most recently, in the French Open, she was beaten by the Danish youngster Clara Tauson in the opener 2-6, 0-6.
Sasnovich had a much better spell in 2022, in which she closed at 35-21 inside the top 50. On grass, however, she was just 2-2.
To add to this, Aliaksandra has never reached a grass final in her career; her best result is reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2018.
