Tallon Griekspoor v Roberto Carballes-Baena Head to Head
The pair have played each other three times before, each time on clay, the Spaniard winning on each occasion. He won their two finals on the Challenger tour in 2021 and 2022, and also when they played each other in Marrakech earlier this year.

By the time that he faces Carballes-Baena, Griekspoor will be hoping to have won his second senior ATP title.
He has reached the final on home soil in Rosmalen, where he will start the favourite against Jordan Thompson of Australia.
If he is successful, the trophy can take its place on his mantlepiece alongside the cup he won for clinching the Maharashtra Open title in January.
His run to the final in the Netherlands included a quarter-final victory over Alex de Minaur.
Already he will be thinking ahead to Wimbledon, with designs of improving his previous best there, which was reaching the second round there last year.
A good run in Halle will help his preparations no end.

This is the part of the season that Carballes-Baena traditionally dreads.
An affirmed clay court player, who won his second senior ATP final in Marrakech in April, beating the Frenchman Alexandre Muller in the final, grass remains an alien surface for him.
He has never been beyond the first round at Wimbledon.
In fact, this will be his first grass court match of the year, having chosen to skip the various tournaments last week.
He was last in action at the French Open, where his run was ended at the second round stage, beaten by Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece in straight sets.

Whilst Carballes-Baena has won all their previous meetings, they were all on clay. Grass is far more the natural milieu of the Dutchman, and he will start the clear favourite in this match.
