Nicolas Jarry v Corentin Moutet Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 27 year old Chilean, and the Frenchman, who is three years younger.

Jarry has shrugged off the ten month suspension he received for a doping violation earlier in his career – although the ITF later ruled he was not guilty of any wilful intent – and is now beginning to realise the potential he showed earlier before his ban.
The Chilean has won two titles this year – in Santiago and Geneva – to go with his Swedish Open win in 2019.
And he has recently reached the fourth round of the French Open, his best ever result in a Grand Slam.
It is no coincidence, though, that all those results came on clay, his favourite surface.
Like many South Americans, he tends to struggle on grass, as evidenced by the fact his best showing at Wimbledon was a second round appearance back in 2018.
This is his first match since losing to Casper Ruud in straight sets at the French Open

Moutet the Bad Boy of French Tennis
It has been largely a disappointing year so far for Moutet.
He began 2023 on the verge of breaking into the top 50, only for his ranking to drift after a series of disappointing results, although the three months he was forced to take off with the injury he picked up at the Australian Open did not help with his momentum.
Moutet has also had his fair share of brushes with the tennis authorities. He was fined heavily last year by the ATP after scuffling with a fellow player during a match on the Challenger tour, and then was expelled by the French Federation for repeated instances of bad behaviour,
Like Jarry, his best performance at Wimbledon was one second round appearance, back in 2018.
However, unlike him, he has already played one grass court match this season.
That was in Stuttgart last week where he lost to Aslan Karatsev in the first round, after three hard fought sets.
Jarry v Moutet Prediction and Tip
This is a match between two players who have both had brushes with the tennis authorities in recent years.
Jarry is playing with more confidence, but much may depend on how quickly he can adapt his game to grass. If he can make the transition from clay relatively seamlessly, he starts favourite.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Jarry to win: 5/7
- Moderate Risk Tip: Over 23.5 games in the match: 5/4
