Adrian Mannarino v Corentin Moutet Head to Head
Mannarino and Moutet have never faced off in a competitive match before this.

Mannarino Fumbles Past Pella
Guido Pella has fallen to 334th in the world and with Mannarino in the kind of grass court form that he is in, it was expected to be a one-sided encounter in the second round.
It turned out to be a sharp contrast of that with Mannarino needing to overcome the loss of the first set and then be a break down in the second. He came back to win 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in a match that lasted two hours and 32 minutes.
Where Pella made things rather difficult for his opponent was the manner in which he attacked Mannarino’s second serve. The Frenchman managed to win just 40% of those and faced a whopping 16 break-points in the encounter.
He was broken five times and it was only his superior recent winning experience that helped Mannarino in staying in the match. By the end, Pella had exhausted all his resources and Mannarino slowly clawed back to complete his comeback-win.
Can he start off stronger against Moutet?

Moutet Thwarts Carballes Baena
Having defeated the pre-match favourite Christopher O’Connell in the first round, Moutet had gone into his second match against Roberto Carballes Baena as a 2/5 favourite.
And Moutet sure lived up to those odds as he registered a straight-set win to make it the first instance this year when he had registered back to back victories. He won 6-3, 7-6 (4) in a match lasting an hour and 50 minutes.
Moutet was strong on his serve, clinching 85% of his first serve points. While he did struggle with his second serves, Carballes Baena wasn’t quite able to take advantage of it and Moutet saved both the break-points he faced.
On the other hand, he earned six break-points of his and while he was thwarted on five occasions it was the one break he got in the second game of the first set that made all the difference.
Come the quarterfinal, Moutet will find some of his confidence returning after his layoff this season and he could put up a solid challenge.
Mannarino v Moutet Prediction and Tip
Mannarino starts off a 4/11 favourite but Moutet might have tasted a bit of blood in the previous rounds and could come out attacking his opponent’s serves. Could end up being a keen tussle.

- Moderate Risk Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 5/6
