They played once so far. It happened in Adelaide last year and Saville won that one in three sets.

Boulter Wins Maiden Trophy
Katie Boulter didn’t play last week but she didn’t need to. She finally got a WTA trophy in Nottingham after putting together an impressive performance beating some solid players en route to her maiden triumph. It’s not a surprise that it came on grass because it’s the surface where she traditionally had the best results.
She is 41-29 on surface all-time and 8-3 this year. It’s generally been a pretty solid year for her with 27 wins and only 12 losses. She’s in the top 100 and is preparing for a very pivotal Wimbledon for her. The opponent is tough, a player she’s never beaten before though she only played Saville once.
The good thing for her is that Saville played only two matches so far this year so she should have the upper hand in terms of form and stamina.
She’s expected to win but that can sometimes be a detriment.

Saville Returns After Knee Injury
Daria Saville played only two matches so far this year and it happened recently on grass. The Australian spent the rest of the year rehabbing a bad knee injury that she sustained in Tokyo last year. The Australian was putting together a very good year overall but then disaster struck.
It’s good to see her back on the courts but it’s hard to predict what to expect. She’s 20-23 in her career so it’s never been that great of a surface for her. She’s 1-1 this year with a win over Madison Brengle. That’s actually a pretty solid win for her.
The loss came to Cristina Bucsa, a Spaniard who surprisingly plays well on grass. It’s a mixed bag and expecting a deep run here would be foolish.
Can she win this match? Sure. Will she? That’s very tough to say. She’ll be going against a confident player playing on home soil.
Boulter v Saville Prediction and Tip
At their peak, it’s likely that Saville is the better player but in the current situation, Boulter should win. Comfortably at that.
Tips:
- Moderate Risk Tip: Boulter to win: 1/2
