It wasn’t as straightforward a win as you would have expected from a 19th-ranked player taking on someone ranked 296th but de Minaur came through in straight sets in the end to enter the second round.
The Aussie was a 6-4, 6-4 winner in a match lasting an hour and 46 minutes despite losing his serve a whopping three times in the encounter.
Both went neck in neck in the first set with de Minaur grabbing an early break and Mansouri retaliating with one of his to tie the scores at 4-4. In the 10th game, however, Mansouri failed to hold on to it as he served to stay in the set.
In the second, it was Mansouri who took a shock lead with a break, going up 2-0. While de Minaur levelled out at 2-2 he lost his serve yet again in the seventh game before turning a corner and winning three games in a row to seal the encounter.
He now faces another player ranked outside the top 100 and should not have too many issues as he gets into some sort of a rhythm.

Tirante Wins Rare Main Draw Match
Blessed with a draw that saw Tirante play a 410th-ranked player in the first round of the tournament, he came away a straight-set winner in his opener to register just his second main draw win of his career.
Tirante, whose only previous win had come on his favourite, clay court surface, overcame Gonzalo Lama 7-6 (3), 6-2 to set up a meeting with de Minaur.
Interestingly, the last time Tirante had stepped on to a hardcourt surface was way back in April when he featured in a Challenger tournament in Morelos. He had gone on to win the title there with a defeat of James Duckworth in the final.
As a result of that, this win over Lama is his sixth win in a row on such a surface.
