Galarneau is coming off a good run in July, which included his first ever Challenger title. Galarneau defeated Philip Sekulic in the final to lift the Granby Challenger title.

Following the triumphant run in the hard court tournament, he then participated in the Washington Open qualifiers, where he won one and lost one.

Overall, Galarneau is 20-18 across levels this season. Most of his wins came on hard courts, where he has a 17-12 record.
