What Happened at the 2019 Atlanta Open?

John Isner had entered the 2019 Atlanta as the two-time defending champion but went down in the first match he played. After getting an opening round bye, he lost in three tie-breakers to Reilly Opelka, who went on to make it to the semifinals. Opelka went down to Alex de Minaur in the semifinals, an Aussie who later brushed aside the second seeded Taylor Fritz to win the title.

Isner, however, continues to remain a dominating force in this tournament, having won five titles and made the final on three other occasions to go with that.
