This tournament will be held at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex at Southern Methodist University as USA’s only indoor ATP tennis tournament for the 2023 season. It will be a part of the ATP 250 tennis competition list and was earlier hosted at New York but failed to take off and was hence was relocated to Dallas.
It will also be the first time ever a tennis tournament will be held in Dallas since 1989 with the World Championship of Tennis Finals having been played in this city till then.
There was also a single edition of the Dallas Open which had been played in 1983.

The 2023 edition of Dallas Open, its first ever, will start from Monday, February 6 with the qualifying rounds featured before that. The title-decider will be hosted at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Sunday, February 12.

What Happened at the 2022 ATP Dallas Open?
The 2022 edition of the tournament was the first of Dallas Open since 1983 and Reilly Opelka won a couple of tie-breakers in the final against Jenson Brooksby to lift the trophy.
Opelka had earlier featured in a rollicking semifinal against the third seeded John Isner which he won in two tie-breakers as well, including the second set where the tie-breaker saw a whopping 46 points played.
It was the longest tie-breaker at this level since 1990.
Top seeded Taylor Fritz fell at the quarterfinal stage to Marcos Giron.
Andres Gomez had won the 1983 edition by defeating Brian Teacher in that final in three sets.
