What Happened at the 2020 ATP Halle Open?

Roger Federer continued his brilliant run at the Halle Open as he registered his 10th title victory in the 17 years since he first won at the Halle Open. He was a 7-6, 6-1 winner over Belgium’s David Goffin in the final.

Federer’s run to the final wasn’t without its issues. He was taken to a tough three-setter by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the second round after he had dispatched John Millman in the opener. That was followed by another three-setter against Roberto Bautista-Agut but then Federer settled down quickly to overcome Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Goffin in straight sets to bag the trophy.

Alexander Zverev, the second seed, was knocked out in the quarterfinals by Goffin.
