The Prague Challenger has been around since 2014 on the men’s circuit and is a part of the women’s ITF circuit too since 2015 and some big names have been associated in the past.
Diego Schwartzman, for instance, played in the 2014 edition of the tournament and won the title that year, along with the others like Marketa Vondrousova, Karolina Muchova, Santiago Giraldo and Lukas Rosol.
This year, this tournament assumes a lot of importance because of the lack of tennis for players due to the coronavirus pandemic. 2020 Prague Challenger Schedule & Dates
The 2020 edition of the Prague Challenger on the men’s circuit will be played from August 16. The competition will go on till the following Sunday on August 23.

What Happened at the 2019 Prague Challenger?
The 2019 men’s edition of the Prague Challenger was played in the last week of July and Spaniard Mario Vilella Martinez won the title by beating Tseng Chun-hsin in a one-sided title-decider. Interestingly none of the seeded players reached the semifinals with Frederico Ferreira Silva and Carlos Taberner being the other losing semifinalists.
Top seeded Andrej Martin fell in the second round while second and third seeds Lukas Rosol and Lorenzo Giustino managed to make it to the quarterfinals before bowing out. Spain Bernabé Zapata Miralles was the only other seed to make the last-eight.
