Alison Riske v Zhu Lin Predictions & Preview
World number 19 Alison Riske will be up against the 71st-ranked Zhu Lin of China in their second round match at the 2020 Australian Open. This will also be their third meeting, with the previous two having been shared between them. They last played in a qualifier at the Doha Open 2019 and Lin had won that one in straight sets.
Riske is coming off a stiff first round win against another Chinese player Wang Yafan, needed three sets and a tie-breaker to get past her. Lin had something similar for her, as she broke a three-match losing streak, overcoming a first set loss at the hands of Viktorija Golubic in round one to beat her opponent.
Earlier, Lin had made it to the final of an ITF tournament in Hong Kong, losing to Zarina Diyas before back to back opening round defeats at Shenzhen and Hobart pushed her further back. Riske was a quarterfinalist in Brisbane, losing only to Karolina Pliskova in a tough, straight-setter. She should take the confidence from her results so far to carve out a win here.
Tip: Riske to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Maria Sakkari v Nao Hibino Predictions & Preview
This will be the first time that the 23rd-ranked Maria Sakkari and 103rd-ranked Nao Hibino will be clashing at the highest level when they face off in the second round of the 2020 Australian Open. Sakkari was a 6-2, 6-2 winner over Margarita Gasparyan in her opening round while Hibino, a qualifier who needed to win three matches in a row to make the main draw, edged out Shuai Peng in her first match.
Sakkari didn’t have a great start to the season as she lost her opener at Brisbane and then went down in the second round in Adelaide as well. However, dig a little deeper and her defeats came at the hands of Naomi Osaka and Donna Vekic, and both of which were three-setters.
She should start off as an overwhelming favourite against Hibino, who despite showing sparks of brilliance last year at the Hiroshima Open, has found it difficult to overcome the higher-ranked opponents. Straight-set win for Sakkari here.

Ekaterina Alexandrova v Barbora Krejcikova Predictions & Preview
28th-ranked Ekaterina Alexandrova will start off as a favourite against surprise second round opponent Barbora Krejcikova. Krejcikova, ranked 128th in the world, was quarterfinalist at the ITF Hong Kong competition but then failed to qualify for the Shenzhen Open main draw.
Then, featuring at the Australian Open qualifiers, she won all her three matches in straight sets to make the main draw before defeating Kaia Kanepi to register her best-ever Grand Slam result. Krejcikova, who is a doubles specialist, having won three of the four Grand Slams already, will now be aiming to get past an opponent she has played once before and lost on clay.
Alexandrova is coming off some solid form under her belt. She won the title at the Shenzhen Open, dropping just one set in the entire tournament. She was up against a tricky first round opponent in the form of Jil Teichmann but came through in three sets and should now make it a seventh win in a row here.
Tip: Alexandrova to win in straight sets: 1/2 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
Qiang Wang v Fiona Ferro Predictions & Preview
Qiang Wang and Fiona Ferro have faced off five times in the past and Wang leads 4-1 on head to head. Ferro’s only win had come on clay while Wang won all her matches on hard court surfaces, including a first round encounter at the 2019 Australian Open and a third round match at the 2019 US Open.
Wang, who made it to the quarterfinal at the Shenzhen Open earlier this year, was a straight-set winner over Pauline Parmentier and shouldn’t have too many troubles against Ferro.
Tip: Wang to win in straight sets: 8/11 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
