This is the second meeting between Jannik Sinner and Mikail Ymer. They met in the round robin stages of the 2019 Next Gen Finals in Milan, which was won in straight sets by eventual champion Sinner.

Little known Italian teenager Jannik Sinner sprung on the scene last Fall when he was an ATP 250 semi-finalist at the age of 18.
He was a semi-finalist at the ATP 250 in Antwerp where he defeated top-seed veteran Frenchman Gael Monfils en route.
Sinner followed this with an impressive run at the ATP Next Gen finals where he won the title in Milan in November 2019. The Italian defeated top 20 ranked and heavy favorite Aussie Alex De Minaur in the title round.
Despite a disappointing second round loss at the Australian Open last month, the Italian will be hoping for a strong start to the season to see him reach new heights as the year progresses.
Ymer Looking To Carry Foward Form After Aussie Open Loss
Swedish prodigy Mikhail Ymer was earmarked for great things in tennis by former world number one from Sweden, Stefan Edberg.
After a successful run on the Challenger and Futures tours, Ymer moved to the main ATP tour where although he did not meet with instant success, he did well to break into the top 100 in the rankings,
Although the Swede had a somewhat indifferent run at the Next Gen ATP finals, he put up a strong fight in the Australian Open against Karen Khachanov and was inches away from a win in the decider.
Ymer will look to use the next two months to solidify his place on the tour ahead of the clay season in a little over 60 days.
