Guido Pella v Facundo Bagnis Predictions & Preview

While Pella, the second seed is currently ranked 27th in the world to Bagnis’ 134th, this has an interesting history. These two players, separated by three months in age, have faced off 11 times before this and Pella has a narrow edge over Bagnis, winning six of them. Even more interestingly, all of those 11 matches, came at the Challenger and Futures circuit and on clay but none of them since 2015.

So, in a way, it will be a reunion of old rivals after nearly five years of absence.

And things have gone in different directions for the two players, with Pella having made it to the top 20 once before and is currently 27th in the world. As compared to that, Bagnis was once ranked 55th in the world, but is now 134th, and as a result has needed to go through the qualifying rounds in tournaments around the world.

Pella did lose his opener at Cordoba, so will be hoping he can turn things around here. Bagnis had an easy first round match against Andrej Martin but his real test will come now. Can he take any confidence from their previous match-ups though?

Tip: Pella to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click here to get these odds with bet365)

Laslo Djere v Juan Ignacio Londero Predictions & Preview

35th-ranked Laslo Djere will be up against Juan Ignacio Londero in their second round match-up at the Argentina Open with both having won their opening rounds in three sets against little-known opponents.

Interestingly, these two have played just one match against each other and that came last week in Cordoba. And if that is anything to go by, we would be in for a roller-coaster ride. It went to three sets, with two of them going into a tie-breaker including the final set which Djere won 7-5.

It was a match of margins and expect something similar here as well. Which is also why Djere is 10/11 to win this to Londero being marginally ahead at 4/5. Another three-setter? We think so.

Tip: Three sets in the match: 7/5 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Albert Ramos-Vinolas v Pablo Cuevas Predictions & Preview

Two players, ranked in their 40s, face off in what could be an exciting encounter but given the head to head between Albert Ramos Vinolas and Pablo Cuevas, it could be headed one way too. In nine previous matches, six of them on clay, Cuevas holds a distinct 8-1 advantage over his Spanish opponent, with their most recent encounter having come in the 2019 Rio Open.

What’s interesting to also note is all of their previous four matches have been hard-fought, gone to three sets, which includes a final at the Sao Paulo Open in 2017. Cuevas won his opener against Lorenzo Sonego in straight sets while Ramos-Vinolas needed three sets to overcome Leonardo Mayer.

As a result, Cuevas will start off as a heavy favourite at 8/15 to his opponent’s 11/8 but given how these two go hammer and tongs at each other, expecting another three-setter here.

Tip: Three sets the match: 7/5 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
