Taylor Fritz v Cameron Norrie Predictions & Preview
Three matches played between Taylor Fritz and Cameron Norrie and all of them came last year on hard court surfaces. Norrie defeated Fritz in straight sets at the Auckland Open early in the 2019 season but Fritz got his own over the next two meetings at the Australian Open and then the Atlanta Open to make it 2-1 in his favour.
And now Fritz, the third seed will start off a favourite against Great Britain’s Norrie, who is 3-5 on win-loss in this year’s main draw matches. First round defeats at Australian Open and Auckland Open and a second round loss to little-known Jason Jung last week in New York makes it even tougher for Norrie to try and claw back to his career-best ranking of 41 in the world.
Because against him is a player who relishes these surfaces and will be at home playing on them. This season, however, he has lost five of his nine matches on hard court, but has a third round at the Australian Open to show for his efforts. Looks like, given the form both players are in, it will be a tough one to call and we will opt for the games market here.
Tip: Total Games – Over 22.5: 4/5 (Click here to get these odds with bet365)

Ugo Humbert v Kyle Edmund Predictions & Preview
This will be the second meeting between Humbert and Edmund with the Brit having beaten his opponent the first time they played at the Marrakech Open on clay last year. However, that was clay and this isn’t and things could be a lot different.
For one, on paper, there’s not much to choose between these two with Humbert’s 44th rank on the ATP circuit just one ahead of Edmund. Humbert, interestingly, has already won an ATP title this year, which was his maiden one. He had an excellent run at the Auckland Open where he went through a few top-ranked players to clinch the trophy and at the same time touch his career-best 43rd.
However, if Humbert won at Auckland, Edmund’s coming off his own title win in New York last week too. There was some amount of luck involved with the draw for the Brit but take nothing away from Edmund who was earlier a quarterfinalist at Auckland and fought hard before going down to Isner.
Another difficult match to call therefore, and we will have to go with the games market yet again much like the previous one.
Tip: Total Games – Over 22.5: 4/5 (Click here to get these odds with bet365)

Reilly Opelka v Ernests Gulbis Predictions & Preview
54th-ranked Reilly Opelka will be up against Latvia’s Ernests Gulbis in their Delray Beach Open first round match. It will also be their third meeting with Opelka having won both the previous two, but on clay. On hard courts, Opelka has a more sterling record, coming into this season having a 19-12 win-loss record last year and 5-7 on clay during the same time.
This year, however, roles have been reversed. Gulbis, a former world number 10, had fallen to a rather shocking win-loss record of 8-30 last year. He has recovered well in 2020 having qualified for the Australian Open after winning three matches and then making it to the third round in Melbourne. Here too, he has gone through the qualifiers and lost just eight games in those two encounters, confident to take on Opelka.
Opelka’s year started with back to back first round defeats at Adelaide and Australian Open. After a first round bye and a second round win he went down to Jason Jung in the New York Open quarterfinal, leaving him with a lot to do here, at least confidence-wise.

Radu Albot v Jack Sock Predictions & Preview
In their only previous meeting which came in at this very stage in this very tournament, Sock was a 6-4, 7-6 winner over Radu Albot. Now things have obviously changed, with Sock struggling to make a comeback following a lengthy injury layoff, and Albot fighting to regain his place in the top 50.
Albot’s season has gotten off to a rocky start with three back to back straight-set defeats at the ATP Cup and then a walkover at the Rotterdam Open because of a shoulder injury. He will hope he can open his account this season when he faces Sock here.
Sock himself is a former world number eight, had played just 11 matches last year and began his season with his opener last week at New York. He lost in straight sets but was competitive for long times and can afford to feel confident. At some stage he will be expected to win his first match, and it could just be against a struggling opponent in this match.
Tip: Sock to win: 6/4 (Click here to get these odds with bet365)
