Felix Auger-Aliassime v Corentin Moutet Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two and Auger-Aliassime leads 2-0 so far. The first match came at the Lyon Challenger in 2018 in which Auger-Aliassime wrapped up a facile win before he defeated Moutet in four sets at the 2019 Wimbledon.

Auger-Aliassime Sends Murray Packing
We had expected Andy Murray to be at the receiving end in his second round match against Auger-Aliassime but not too many would have expected the kind of drubbing he received at the hands of his Canadian opponent.
Auger-Aliassime crushed the Briton’s comeback hopes in a matter of little over two hours, winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the third round. Granted Murray was coming off a bruising opening round win against Yoshihito Nishioka in which he came back from two sets down to win, but the manner in which Auger-Aliassime performed his demolition job, a very fresh Murray wouldn’t have been able to make so much difference.
And it wasn’t like Auger-Aliassime had had a straightforward path to the second round, having needed a circuitous, four-set win over Thiago Monteiro of which three sets went to a tie-breaker.
The Canadian 20-year-old has already shown what he is capable of with back to back finals at Rotterdam and Marseille; now it is about making it to his first ever fourth round at a Grand Slam.

Surprise Entry for Moutet
A clay court lover, Moutet’s best showing on any Grand Slam played on a hard court is his first round exits at the US Open and Australian Open. Before this US Open that is.
Here he had a slightly easier draw with a first round match against Jiri Vesely, who is ranked 67th – not too dissimilar from Moutet’s own bracket of players. It was in the second round Moutet sprung a surprise though.
Taking on the British number one Daniel Evans, Moutet came back from a set down to level things up on Thursday. And when play resumed on Friday, he took the next two sets in tie-breakers to end Evans’ challenge.
What was interesting to note is he had 18 chances to break his opponent but did so just six times – one more than Evans’ breaks – and in most aspects of the statistics, was only marginally better than Evans. And that’s all he needed though to come through for his second chance of making it to the fourth round at a Grand Slam.
Last year, as a wild-card, he had defeated Guido Pella to enter round three of the French Open where he had a golden chance against Juan Londero but fell in five sets. Can he get lucky a second time?
Auger-Aliassime v Moutet Prediction & Tip
There’s only one favourite here after the way he played last round, Auger-Aliassime starts off as an overwhelming one. Moutet’s done well so far but it seems like his challenge could be ending here and in a hurry.
Tip: Auger-Aliassime to win in straight sets: 1/1 (bet365)
