Taylor Fritz comes from a sporting pedigree and that shows in his tennis too with the youngster having made a rapid ascent in the ATP Rankings in his career so far. All the information on Taylor Fritz’s racquet can be found below.

USA’s Fritz shot to fame by making it to the 2015 French Open juniors final before he went down to Tommy Paul (whose tennis racquet specs can be found here), but had one back when he beat the same opponent in the title-decider at the 2015 US Open.

It was also in 2015 Fritz won his first tournament as a professional, clinching the Sacramento Challenger and the Fairfield Challenger. He began adding to the list with another title victory in 2016 and made it four titles in 2018 when he lifted the Newport Beach Challenger trophy.

Fritz successfully defended the Newport Beach Challenger title in 2019, but this time he went one better. The American went on to win his first ever ATP title, defeating top seeded Guido Pella (check his racquet here) and third seeded Kyle Edmund en route the final at Eastbourne.

What made the title even more special was throughout his career, Fritz had been a strong hardcourt player, with all his tournament wins having come on that surface. And to then have your first ATP win on grass was solid going.

In 2020, before tennis went off because of the pandemic, Fritz made it to the final of the Acapulco Open with a win over John Isner (racquet specs here) before losing to Rafael Nadal.

Fritz’s best showing in Grand Slams came at the 2019 Australian Open where he made the third round and he repeated the feat at the 2020 edition of the competition. In doing so, he defeated Gael Monfils in 2019 and Kevin Anderson in 2020 before losing to Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem.

Given Fritz’s stark rise to the top, it should only be a matter of time he goes a longer distance at majors too and makes the final of an ATP Masters event. Fritz’s game, which consists of a solid serve and excellent forehand and backhand groundstrokes should help him achieve those goals in the near future.
