Fritz’s best showing in Grand Slams came at the 2019 Australian Open where he made the third round and he repeated the feat at the 2020 edition of the competition. In doing so, he defeated Gael Monfils in 2019 and Kevin Anderson in 2020 before losing to Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem.
Given Fritz’s stark rise to the top, it should only be a matter of time he goes a longer distance at majors too and makes the final of an ATP Masters event.
