World no. 1 Iga Swiatek handed Danielle Collins a straight sets shellacking in the second round of the Cincinnati Open on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old Polish player dropped just one serve in the match, while she won all seven of her return games to win the 61-minute contest 6-1, 6-0.
Swiatek was so dominant in the second set that she dropped just nine points in the entire set as she defeated the world no. 34.
The win improved her season record to 51-8. Another win for her on Thursday will ensure her a first quarterfinal spot in Cincinnati. A third round finish last year remains her best effort in previous four appearances.

Zheng Rallies Past Williams
World no. 24 Qinwen Zheng ousted Venus Williams in three sets on Wednesday to reach the third round on her Cincinnati Open debut.
The 20-year-old Chinese player, who had beaten qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-1, 6-4 in the first round, needed an hour and 57 minutes to edge past Williams in round 2.
After being outplayed by the veteran in the first set, Zheng found herself 0-2 down in the second, before she began the fightback. She won 10 games in a row, five at the back-end of the second set and five to start the third, eventually winning the match 1-6, 6-2, 6-1
Zheng won 73% points on the back of her first serve, saved 2 of 5 break points and converted 5 of 8.
Zheng won her first WTA title in Palermo this year, was a semifinalist in Abu Dhabi and a quarterfinalist in Rome. Can she pull off a huge upset on Thursday to reach another quarterfinal?
