Karolina Muchova v Marie Bouzkova Head to Head
It is 1-1 between the two. Bouzkova won at a lower level tournament in 2015, while Muchova won most recently in Miami qualifiers in 2019.

Karolina Muchova reached her first Cincinnati Open quarterfinal after the Czech held off eighth seed Maria Sakkari in a three-set round of 16 contest on Thursday.
The world no. 17 won 75% points on the back of her first serve, saved 2 of 5 break points and converted 4 of 6 to win the one hour and 57 minute contest 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. It was the third consecutive round when Muchova was taken to three sets but she managed to come out on top.
The Czech player had rallied from a set down to beat Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 6-4 in the first round and then knocked out Petra Martic 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the second round.
This will be Muchova’s first quarterfinal appearance since she reached the final at the French Open this year.
Overall, it is the fifth time that the one-time WTA tour champion has reached the last eight stage this year and she will be hoping to grab a second semifinal spot on 2023.

Bouzkova Stuns Pegula
World no. 35 Marie Bouzkova handed Canadian Open champion Jessica Pegula a straight sets drubbing in the round of 16 on Thursday to reach a maiden tour level quarterfinal in 2023.
Bouzkova, who had been in ordinary form in the first half of the season, has been putting up decent performances since Wimbledon, having reached the round of 16 at the grass court major and the Montreal Open. Continuing the good work, she now finds herself in the first quarterfinal of the season in Cincinnati.
The Czech had a dominant start to the contest against Pegula, racing to a 4-0 lead in the first set. Pegula pulled a break back, but Bouzkova made sure she protected the other break to seal the first set. She then outplayed the American in the second set to score a 6-4, 6-0 victory in an hour and 30 minutes.
Bouzkova had earlier beaten Irina-Camelia Begu 6-2, 6-2 in the first round and then defeated Elise Mertens 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 in the second round.
Can the one-time WTA champion reach her maiden semifinal of 2023? She has not even reached that stage at a lower level tournament.
Muchova v Bouzkova Prediction and Tip
Muchova has fared better than Bouzkova this season. She has a superior career record than Bouzkova, but wll be a bit tired after another three-set contest. Bouzkova could take advantage of that. Expect a good contest with Muchova edging through.
