Bonzi Showing Wretched Form
A quarterfinalist here last year, Bonzi has limped to a very poor season in 2023. Which is bit of a surprise because Bonzi had kicked things off rather well in 2023 as he reached the final of the Pune Open in the very first week of the year.
Since then, however, things have gone so badly for Bonzi that the once, 42nd-ranked player this season, he has fallen to outside of the top 100 on the rankings charts.
In fact, Bonzi won six matches in total in January this season including his third round appearance at the Australian Open, added four more at the Marseille Open where he reached the final again but just two after that.
Fitness has been a concern for Bonzi since the start of March and that is also why bookmakers have pegged him a distant second at 6/4 to win this one.
