Ivashka on a Three-Match Losing Streak
Ivashka did well at the Los Cabos Open, reaching the quarterfinal of the event but since that time he has lost three matches in a row.
He first fell to Borna Coric in the last eight stage of that competition but even more vitally, Ivashka has now lost two successive matches in the qualifiers of the Canadian and Cincinnati Masters tournaments.
Making matters worse is the fact that one of those losses came at the hands of the 403rd-ranked Matija Pecotic, underlining Ivashka’s struggles on the tour.
What’s interesting to note is that Ivashka now enters a tournament in which he has done well in the past. He was a winner here in 2021 before making the second round last year. In fact that title victory was his maiden one at the highest level and the only one so far.
Things have come to such a head it looks like he will have to fight hard to win one match, let alone the tournament again.
