Nava Made Stanford Challenger Final Recently
21-year-old Nava made headlines recently when the American rose from his season low ranking of 242nd in the world to hit a career-best of 155th.
That was thanks to his performance at the Stanford Challenger where Nava came close to winning his third Challenger title and second of the year. It would have also been his maiden tournament win on a hardcourt surface. Constant Lestienne stopped him right in his tracks in that final.
It had followed a string of below-par results in hardcourt competitions at the start of the year for Nava.
He had failed to qualify for both, the Canberra Challenger and the Australian Open, and in the following string of eight tournaments after that, Nava had won just one main draw match.
Coming up against the out-of-form Ruud, Naval might have a bit of a chance but he will need to do extremely well to get past his opponent. He is 13/3 (with bet365) to win it.
