Marozsan Stuns Gasquet
Fabian Marozsan can play good tennis as a win over Carlos Alcaraz earlier today showed. He’s not playing it all the time but found a good effort against Richard Gasquet, even though he nearly threw it away.
The Hungarian was in full control of the match, cruising towards a simple finish in three sets but then lost two sets out of nowhere. He rallied, though, in the final one as Gasquet faltered physically. It’s a big win and important win though one that came at a price.
It remains to be seen how much that 3.5-hour battle took out of him, but it was a pretty quick match, considering that it went to 5 sets. Marozsan likes to end rallies quickly, and that allowed him to keep the minutes low.
His win came thanks to his super-aggressive style that saw him hit 93 winners, which is a lot. He’ll likely have a good amount against Mannarino as well, but he will need to tread carefully. The French player is well-equipped to take apart his game.

I think this will be an interesting one that will have at least four sets. So that’s my pick over 3,5 sets because I think it might be quite an up-and-down affair.
