Cameron Norrie v Yu-hsiou Hsu Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between Norrie and Hsu.

Since making it to the second round at Wimbledon, Norrie had won nothing at the highest level.
There had been that defeat at Wimbledon to Christopher Eubanks, and opening round losses at the hands of Aleksandar Kovacevic, Alex de Minaur and Gael Monfils in the three hardcourt competitions that followed after that.
Which is why there was that question-mark over his chances against Alexander Shevchenko despite his own inexperience.
Fortunately for Norrie, there were no major struggles in his opening round win over Shevchenko with the Briton winning 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in a match lasting a shade over an hour and a half in the end.
Such was his dominance that Norrie faced just one break-point in the entire match and saved it, while overcoming his opponent’s serve on five occasions in the process. His first serve became a weapon of choice as Norrie won 41 of those 49 points and that’s where the match was clinched.
He should start off a huge favourite against an opponent who has never been ranked better than 186th in the world.

Hsu Wins Maiden Grand Slam Match
Till last year, Hsu hadn’t featured even in the qualifiers of a Grand Slam. This year, he rolled into the first round of the Australian Open as a qualifier and while he lost his opener there, he would have felt like he belonged.
In the two majors that followed, Hsu did not make it past the first qualifying round but he repeated the same feat here at the US Open when he got past three qualifiers to enter the main draw.
Still, Hsu was a distant second favourite to Thanasi Kokkinakis in his opener here with bet365 offering 9/2 for his win. And win is what he did despite those odds.
In fact Kokkinakis proved to be no match for Hsu, losing 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 against a player ranked 159 places lower than him.
While Hsu will continue to remain a second favourite yet again, and this time he is 17/2 (with bet365) to win against Norrie, he will have nothing to lose and could come out all guns blazing.
