Starting out a 5/1 underdog (with bet365) in his second round match against Stefanos Tsitsipas, not much was expected out of the Swiss qualifier Stricker. Not even when he nudged past the Greek number one in the first set.
It was in the next two sets that followed that things started to get more interesting with Stricker matching Tsitsipas toe to toe. He hung around, not giving up easily and even when Tsitsipas had won those two sets in tie-breakers, Striker knew he had a chance.
In fact, Stricker broke Tsitsipas in the very first game of the fourth set and then was broken twice to leave the world number seven with a chance to serve for the match. Stricker broke back and in the tie-breaker that followed – third in a row – he edged out his opponent.
Stricker then got the better of his opponent’s serve once in the fifth set before clinching it 6-3 and moving into the third round. He has a good chance here, starting out an 8/11 (with bet365) favourite.

Bonzi Makes it Two Surprises in a Row
In both his first two round matches, Bonzi had come in as a 6/4 underdog (with bet365) and both times, he has managed to register four-set losses.
Having struggled to get going through most part of the season and having fallen from a career-best of 42 to his current 108th as a result of that, Bonzi overcame Quentin Halys in the first round.
More vitally, he was pitted against one of the dark horses of the tournament, local lad Christopher Eubanks, who was 1/2 to grab his third round berth. Instead, Bonzi registered a 7-6 (6), 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7) win over Eubanks in a match lasting over three hours.
Bonzi did fritter away two set-points at 6-4 in the first tie-breaker and two match-points in the fourth tie-breaker but kept his cool to make it through. Can he now shrug off those 11/10 odds (bet365) for a win against Stricker?
