US Open 2023 Predictions & Tips for Friday, September 8
Novak Djokovic v Ben Shelton
Djokovic is the master of this trade, while Shelton is just starting off. The former is in red hot form and is seeking a 36th Grand Slam final, the latter is just into his fifth Grand Slam tournament and is seeking a maiden final.
The 20-year-old has been extremely impressive in the two hard court majors this year and with crowd rooting for him he will look to give his best in his first major semifinal. But Djokovic has been here way too many times and will be a heavy favourite to reach the final.

Carlos Alcaraz v Daniil Medvedev
Alcaraz is in rip-roaring form and by the looks of it, Djokovic seems to be the only player who can match him toe to toe. In essence he will be a huge favourite to win this and even if he does struggle for short periods that might not yield too much for Medvedev.
Going with an Alcaraz win with Medvedev to win a set at the very best.

Rajeev Ram/Joe Salisbury v Rohan Bopanna/Matthew Ebden
The men’s doubles final will have two of the best teams in the world today. On the one hand is the pair of Ram and Salisbury, who are ranked fifth and sixth on the doubles charts respectively, while on the other side is a team that is third on the Doubles Race to the ATP Finals.
And as can be expected this will be a difficult final for both, as was the case with how their semifinals went. Bopanna/Ebden needed a tie-breaker to overcome the French pair of Mahut/Herbert while Ram and Salisbury were in for a three-set rolelr-coaster.
And we think that’s not going to change in the final either with a three-setter expected here
Ram/Salisbury v Bopanna/Ebden Prediction: Three sets in the match: 11/10 (with bet365)
Gabriela Dabrowski/Erin Routliffe v Hsieh Su-wei/Wang Xinyu
Dabrowski/Routliffe v Su-wei/Xinyu Prediction: Su-wei/Wang to win: 2/5 (with bet365)
Laura Siegemund/Vera Zvonareva v Jennifer Brady/Luisa Stefani
Siegemund/Zvonareva v Brady/Stefani Prediction: Brady/Stefanini to win: 8/11 (with bet365)
