Linda Fruhvirtova v Harriet Dart Head to Head

Their only previous meeting at the highest level came at the Billie Jean King Cup in 2022 and Dart had won that in three sets.

Fruhvirtova in a Horror Run

The last time Fruhvirtova won a main draw match was way back in June.

More vitally she has featured in seven tournaments since that second round victory at the Birmingham International, losing in the first round on four of the occasions and not even making it past the qualifiers in the other three.

What’s made things worse, especially as far as Fruhvirtova’s confidence might be concerned, is the nature of those losses.

In all of these defeats, Fruhvirtova has won just two sets and over the last three matches, she has won just 11 games.

She now faces an opponent who is ranked a good 90 places behind her but the manner in which Fruhvirtova is playing at the moment it seems only fair that she starts off evens with bet365 to win this.

Dart’s Recent Struggles Have Pushed Her Down the Rankings

Overall this year, Dart has had a few results go her way but she hasn’t done enough to maintain her season-high ranking of 96th which had come at the start of the year.

Dart fell out of the top 100 immediately after the Australian Open where she was crushed in the first round by Jil Teichmann and slowly, but steadily she has fallen to her current 144th in the world as losses have begun to mount for her.

Sure, Dart did win her first ITF title this season since 2018, and then made it to the quarterfinal of the Nottingham Open and Birmingham International but nothing has gone her way since then.

She failed to qualify for the US Open and in a recent ITF tournament played in Tokyo earlier this week, Dart was beaten in the second round by Arianne Hartono.

Dart still starts a bit of a favourite given her opponent’s recent issues but at 4/5 (at bet365) it’s tough to choose between the two.

Fruhvirtova v Dart Prediction and Tip

Tough match this but we will go with Dart given the lack of fight that Fruhvirtova has shown in recent times. Backing a three-setter too.
