Greetje Minnen v Diane Parry Head to Head
This will be the first match between the 26 year old Belgian, and the Frenchwoman, who is five years younger.

Minnen’s form has fluctuated considerably over the past few years, but she has now regained the heights she achieved when she won the second of her career titles in 2021, the Luxembourg Open (which she had also won three years earlier).
Her recent ascendancy is primarily due to the fact that she reached the final of a Challenger event last month in Poland, although she had to settle for the runners-up place behind Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine.
And she also won a doubles’ title at the level in May in France.
In terms of Grand Slams, her best performance prior to this year came at the US Open in 2021, when she reached the third round.
And, she was able to emulate that this year, after first coming through the qualifying competition.
She began her New York by thrashing the veteran Venus Williams, and outlasted the American Sachia Vickery in three sets.
Daria Kasatkina ended her run in another three set match.
She has not played since exiting New York.

Parry’s Form Has Dipped
Parry had a successful junior career, reaching the number one ranking at that level.
So far, on the main WTA tour, her successes have largely come in doubles – she won the Merida Open in February with Caty McNally, and the Lausanne Open with Anna Bondar in July.
The Frenchwoman has also reached three WTA 125k finals, all of them on clay, and won the event in Paris four months ago.
Since reaching the semi-finals of Lausanne in singles, though, she has had her struggles.
She failed to qualify for the Cincinnati, lost in the first round of the Chicago Challenger event, and was knocked out of the US Open at the same stage, losing in straight sets to Katie Boulter of Great Britain.
Changing continents brought no respite. She was also beaten in the first round of Osaka last week by the American world number 167, Elizabeth Mandlik.
Minnen v Parry Prediction and Tip
Based on recent form alone, Minnen should be considered the favourite for this match. She will be in good heart having reached the third round of the US Open, whilst Parry has been struggling since leaving clay.
